TAPPEX® brass inserts for plastics.
Inserts are used to fasten elements together. They replace conventional fastening with screws, nuts and bolts. Only when it's not possible or desirable to have a threaded hole in the material used.
They also provide a fastener that is more resistant to torsional and pull-out forces than direct tapping in a part made of a soft material such as plastic or aluminum, which is necessary when the fastener requires higher performance than is possible in the material.
They also offer an aesthetic finish, when they are not visible.
